The pool of purple

Scotland since Celtic times has sat on the throne of spiritualism, tribalism & myth.

Volcanic in nature, majestic in landscape, we stand in awe. Caledonian soil doesn't disappoint. Rich in colour, purple is a hue familiar to Scotland, represented in our national flower the thistle.

A fairly new arrival to this land, again strikes with a vision of purple. Step forward and downwards to Scotland's very own amethyst cave.

Located in Jupiter, Artland near Edinburgh, this work of art forms part of a sculpture aptly named 'The light pours out of me'. A Mecca for crystal lovers, it's open to visitors. Standing within the walls of amethyst energy is most definitely on my to do list. Designed in 2012 by Anya Gallaccio, we are privileged to hold this intimate outdoor art cave.
